FINAL INVASION! (photos included)
April 15|2003

Today's announcement;

Alek Journal's "INVASION SERIES" has come to an end! Whether, that's a relief for some of you or not, I still had lots of fun going out there, and watching the sun come up. I did what I felt like doing. I didn't get into any trouble. But at the same time, I didn't get that many responses for them, either. Well, that was part of the challenge. At least, I got to know the city a bit better. Now, I know what is the coolest office to work at.

So you're probably wondering what was it that I did today; I've always wanted to be featured in a well known Toronto newspaper. Well, I did it. It was kinda like the Ad mag idea, but this one was interactive (NOTE: it's today's paper, and I had to do this in the food-court, again).
There was a highlighted message that had to be unsrambled within an actual article (they had to fill-in the blanks on the label). Plus, I stuck an article about myself into the banner of the newspaper. I dropped these off at Goodgoll, Roche, and Publicis.

"Maybe if I had more time!

Thanks for the bye note. It was my pleasure. I'll let you know when I do succeed."

"I liked your previous stunt better. (The one involving the issue of Marketing) I was hoping for something more this time. I also think you made them work too hard with the unscrambling message thing. I'm saddened to see your 'invasion series' come to an end. I believe you've just scratched the surface of what you can do to break into advertising and get yourself noticed. For your last ‘invasion’ I was envisioning something more unconventional, some kind of special covert-op that would involve grappling hooks, night vision goggles, and a mission impossible type getup. You probably could’ve pulled it off.

All the best."
