OFFICIAL COMPETITION RULES
1. HOW TO PARTICIPATE: No purchase necessary.
The competition begins on or around March 12, 2004 and ends
on April 23, 2004 (the “Competition”). To participate,
visit www.ihaveanidea.org (the “Website”), print
and review the entry kit, and then, either individually or
in a team with one (1) partner (a “Team”), create
an original Coors Light ad (the “Submission”).
Complete the entry form in the entry kit and send your submission

1T1. All Submissions must be received by 5:00pm (ET) April
23, 2004. Submissions become the property of Coors Canada
and will not be returned.
2. PRIZES: There are three prizes available
to be won. One First Prize, one Second Prize and one Third
Prize. Each is described in more detail below. Third Prize:
One Apple iPod 15 Gig Approximate value $450. Second Prize:
One Apple iBook 800 Mhz 12 inch screen Approximate value $1,750.
Only one prize will be awarded to a Team or individual. First
Prize: The First Prize consists of two parts: (A) the winners’
idea will be painted on the Coors Light Wall which is located
at 250 Richmond Street West, Toronto, Canada; and, (B) tuition
for two semesters in an advertising or design related program
at an accredited college or university located in Canada (the
“Institution”) up to a maximum of $2,500Cdn per
semester. Approximate value of First Prize is $5,000Cdn. In
connection with part (A), the winner will be required to assign
the copyright in their Submission to Coors Canada or the prize
will be forfeited. In connection with part (B), tuition payments
will be made directly to the Institution. If a Team wins the
First Prize and both Team members are enrolled in a qualifying
Institution, the tuition amount will be divided equally between
the two Team members ($1,250 per semester per person; $2,500
maximum per person). If a Team wins the First Prize and only
one Team member is enrolled in a qualifying Institution, the
full tuition amount will be awarded to the Team member enrolled
in the qualifying Institution ($2,500 per semester, $5,000
maximum). If an individual winner or a winning Team is not
registered at an Institution by April 1, 2004 and has not
registered on or before June 1, 2004, the tuition will be
forfeited. No cash equivalent will be awarded directly to
a winner for any tuition that has been forfeited. Winner(s)
will be required to show proof of admission and/or registration.
3. JUDGING: On or around April 30 a decision
will be made for first place, second place and third place
based on the following criteria (creative impact, brand strategy).
The selected entrants will be contacted by telephone or email.
If a winner cannot be contacted within ten (10) business day,
an alternate entrant may be selected. The winner will be announced
on Portfolio night on or around May 11, 2004. The odds of
winning depend on the total number of entries received and
how they are judged based on the judging criteria.
4. ELIGIBILITY: You must be 19 to 30 years
of age to participate. You are not eligible if you are: a)
an employee of the Coors Canada or ihaveanidea (together,
the “Sponsors”), their respective affiliates,
advertising or promotional agencies, or a member of the judging
panel; b) an employee or contractor of a provincial liquor
authority, a beer distribution company or an advertising agency;
c) a member of the immediate family (defined as mother, father,
brother, sisters, sons, daughters and husband or wife) or
household of any of the above persons. Professional freelancers
and employees of ad agencies are not eligible to enter.

5. RELEASES, ETC.: Prize claimants may be required to sign
a Declaration of Compliance with the Competition Rules and
a Release of Liability, releasing Sponsors, their respective
advertising and promotional agencies, the judging panel, provincial
liquor authorities, the beer distribution companies, the affiliates
of the foregoing and all of their respective directors, officers,
owners, partners, employees, agents, representatives, successors
and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”) from
any liability in connection with this Contest or the prize.
Grand Prize winner will also be required to assign the copyright
in their submission to Coors Canada. Declaration and Release
documents must be returned within seven (7) business days
of the date indicated on the documents or the prize may be
forfeited. By accepting the prize, the winner and his/her
guest consent to the collection and use of their personal
information including, without limitation, names, addresses,
voices, statements and photographs or other likenesses for
publicity purposes in connection with this Contest without
further compensation.
6. ERRORS, ETC.: Subject to obtaining the
approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des
jeux for the province of Quebec, Sponsors reserve the right
to amend the terms of this Competition without prior notice
to the Contestants and with notice to the BC Liquor Distribution
Branch if any factor interferes with its proper conduct as
contemplated by these Official Rules. Sponsor reserves the
right to terminate this Competition subject to the approval
of the BC Liquor Distribution branch.
7. MISCELLANEOUS: Prizes are not transferable
and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions in cash
or otherwise, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsors
reserve the right to substitute a prize of equivalent value
if a prize cannot be awarded as described. Prizes will only
be delivered to verified winners. Sponsors will not be held
responsible for the actions, or failure to act, of any partners
selected on the Website. All decisions of the judging panel
are final and binding in all matters relating to this Competition.
Sponsor and other Releasees will not be responsible for illegible,
incomplete, postage-due, lost, misdirected or late entries,
which will be void. No correspondence will be entered into
except with selected entrants. Contest is subject to all applicable
federal, provincial and municipal laws.
8. LIQUOR AUTHORITIES: The provincial liquor
authorities are not connected with this Contest in any manner
whatsoever and are not liable in any way whatsoever with regard
to any matter relating to this Contest.
9. QUEBEC RESIDENTS: Any litigation respecting
the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be
submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et
des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding
of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the
purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
