COORS LIGHT AND IHAVEANIDEA TEAM UP
TO BESTOW THE LARGEST STUDENT AWARD IN HISTORY UPON A FUTURE
ADVERTISING LEGEND
(Toronto, Friday March 12, 2004) With the goal of supporting
young creative talent in Canada, Coors Light and Ihaveanidea
have launched a creative competition titled “Win the
Coors Light Wall”.
The competition, promoted and organized by Ihaveanidea, will
challenge advertising as well as design students under 30
years of age to design a winning. advertising idea that will
be painted on the most prominent Coors Light mural in downtown
Toronto, one of the largest in the city.
At an astounding 7 stories high and 80 meters in width, The
Coors Light Wall is the largest advertising prize in history.
To complement this incredible prize, Coors Light will also
fund two semesters of the winner’s tuition in an advertising
or related program at a Canadian college or university. Second
prize will receive a new Apple iBook and third prize will
receive an Apple iPod.
“Ihaveanidea never partners or works with organizations
and companies who do not go all the way, who do not push the
boundaries, who do not believe in the impossible.” Says
Ignacio Oreamuno, Founder & Director of Ihaveanidea, “Coors
Light has all of this. Together we intend to challenge students
to come up with an advertising solution to a real problem,
something most or all of them have never encountered. I know
the work we receive will push the boundaries of what we think
can be done for Coors Light.”
