The successful candidate will have great skills, big ideas and a burning desire to help create award-winning campaigns. Rare Method works all media. We have the in-house resources to make your creative dreams a reality, including: a large team of traditional and digital designers and writers, a floor full of developers, a video production team and facility, and an audio production house. Responsibilities: •Laying the conceptual framework for projects that are nothing shy of fantastic •Leading the creative development of multiple projects, including providing direction for structure, appropriate techniques, and next steps •Leading on assigned clients, working with the Creative Director to review and critique projects to ensure consistent creative quality •Ensuring accountability to project deliverables •Mentoring your team of art directors, designers and production designers. Skills/Requirements:
Required Experience and Skills: •5 + years experience •Exceptional portfolio •You’re not afraid to show your work internally, or to the client, because you’ve got confidence in your work, and the thought of being a Prima Donna makes your creative skin crawl - you let your work speak for itself •You ‘get’ great strategy and realize that without it there’s no such thing as great creative - and of course vice versa •When you pitch your concepts you can explain why and how they work for the client and not just that “they look pretty eh?” •You brainstorm with the best of them and you love bouncing ideas off of others because a team of minds is always better than an individual •You know, and will continue to learn how the various production processes, technologies and design theories work in the real world •Colour theory, typography, layout, motion design and any other foundations of design are also the foundation of your creations •You understand that designing is one means of communication and verbal is another – you can explain your vision, your creation and yourself •Working hard is one thing, playing hard is another, and you can do both with a high level of proficiency •Bachelor's Degree or higher in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Digital Media Design or Interactive Design
