IHAVEANIDEA TAKES A GAMBLE WITH THEIR THIRD ANNUAL CREATIVE CHALLENGE.
November 20 | 2005
(TORONTO, November 21 - 2005) ihaveanidea, Advertising's Intellectual Archive, partners with Imported Artists Film Co. and unveils its third annual creative competition titled the TigerGaming Advertising Challenge.
The competition, newly opened to the general public this year and not just advertising students, challenges any visitor to the ad industry website ihaveanidea.org to take a relatively new brand, TigerGaming.com, and make it famous by converting the winning idea into a television spot produced by Imported Artists.
"We could think of no more interesting way to get the juices flowing for all those creative types out there, but to inspire them to create a fantastic ad where they would have no back water focus groups, teenage account people, jealous creative directors or a way past their prime clients interfering with their pure genius." says President/Owner of Imported Artists, Christina Ford.
Contestants from around the world are invited to compete for more than $40,000 dollars worth of prizes. The Grand Prize consisting of the winning idea being professionally shot and produced by Imported Artists Film Company, one of North America's top production companies and $1000 cash. Second Prize winner(s) will be awarded Apple’s new video iPod, while the Third Prize winner(s) will receive an iPod nano for their submission. ihaveanidea anticipates thousands of entries to be submitted to their third annual advertising competition.
"This year, the challenge is very different. I cannot recall ever seeing a good TV commercial for online gaming. The creative challenge here is not just to create a good spot, but to create the best spot ever made for this category," says Ignacio Oreamuno, Founder & Director of ihaveanidea. "The coolest thing about this year’s competition is that anyone can participate. Writers, art directors, producers, firefighters, mailmen, directors, actors, the lunch lady at the high school cafeteria or even account people from the ad industry that are dying to see one of their ideas produced. Who says that the creative department always makes the best commercials? I guess we’ll have to find out".
The judges led by representatives from TigerGaming.com, Imported Artists and ihaveanidea will be looking for the best original idea from all the creative storyboards submitted. To be eligible entries must be received on or before Friday February 24th 2006 to ihaveanidea. Anyone over the age of 21 can enter the TigerGaming Advertising Challenge at http://ihaveanidea.org/tiger/
Winners of the TigerGaming Advertising Challenge will be announced on Friday March 10th 2006.
